How do I add a set of keys to a property?

The steps below outline how to add a set of keys to a property and change a set of keys, using the key module.

The key module is an additional feature which enables you to manage keys in your agency by checking them in and out and reporting on their status.

Add a set of keys

  1. Double click Properties from the side menu
    1. Search for the relevant Property using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
    2. Alternatively, find the Property using Additional Options from the dropdown menu
    3. Or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
  2. Click the Keys tab
  3. Click Add Keys
    1. Select empty key tag for these keys -
      1. The list shows key tags not yet used. Select a tag number
      2. Click OK
    2. Add new bunch of keys will display
      1. Types of set - Use the dropdown menu to select the set you are adding i.e. Master
      2. Serial number - Add one of the keys serial number. If it doesn't have a number place a -
      3. Description - Type which door the key opens
      4. Key type  - Select the key type using the dropdown menu
      5. Click Add
      6. Repeat these steps until all keys on the set are added
      7. Click Save

 Best practice

When the Tenant vacates, click Copy Set Details to copy the master set, then select if you want to put them on the same key tag.

If the Tenants set has more keys than the master set, click Modify Set, then Edit and Save the changes

Change a set of keys

  1. Double click Properties from the side menu
    1. Search for the relevant Property using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
    2. Alternatively, find the Property using Additional Options from the dropdown menu
    3. Or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
  2. Click the Keys tab
  3. Click on the row to select the set of keys you wish to modify
  4. Click Modify Keys
  5. Click Edit
  6. Make any amendments you require
  7. Click Update. The screen will go blank, and the changes appear in the grid
  8. Click Save
