If your agency often uses the same utility providers across many of the properties, such as the council and water company, you can add a default provider to User Defaults.
Any utility provider set up in User Defaults can easily be added onto the Property Information, Utilities tab if you click Switch Utilities to Preferred Supplier. Letters can then be created to inform providers of a change of tenancy or any other required correspondence.

Adding a default contractor
First, you will need to add the utility providers as contractors, so they are available to link in User Defaults.

- Click Defaults on the main toolbar
- Click User Defaults on the dropdown menu
- Click Preferences
- Default Utilities displays on the left column. You can add all or some providers in the list, i.e. Electric, Gas, Water, Sewage, Council
- Click the ... dots to search and select the default company
- Click Close
- Click Close
Removing a default contractor
- Click Defaults on the main toolbar
- Click User Defaults on the dropdown menu
- Click Preferences
- Default Utilities displays on the left column. Place your cursor in front of the contractor code
- Press the Delete key on your keyboard
- Click Close
- Click Close
