The steps below show you how to renew a tenancy when you have the TDS upload module switched on.
Warning
On the Tenancy Information, the Current Start Date must change to reflect the start of the new period. The Renewal Date will automatically be updated

Update Tenancy Details
- Double click Tenancies from the side menu
- Search for the relevant Tenancy using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
- Alternatively, find the Tenancy using Additional Options from the dropdown menu
- Or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
- Click on the Tenancy
- The Tenancy Details tab will be displayed
- Current Start Date - Enter the date at which the new tenancy agreement starts
- Months - Enter the term in months or Years - Enter the term in years
- On your keyboard, press the Tab key for the update message to appear
- Click Yes if you agree with the dates
- Click OK to the warning that the Current Start Date is after the Rent Due Date
Update Deposit Protection
- Follow steps 1 to 3 above to locate the correct tenancy
- Click on the Deposit Protection tab
- Click on the Tenancy Deposit tab
- Click on Select Tenancy End Type and select Renewal
- Click the disk icon, Save this record, on the toolbar
Best practice
If you are removing and adding new tenants to the existing tenancy, you should end the current Tenancy and start a new one.
This will require you to create copies of the existing applicants and create a new Tenancy
