The Custom Property List Designer allows users to create a bespoke template for Property Lists by choosing where to place merge codes.
Note
You will need access to User Defaults, to edit your default settings. These can be accessed by those who have the correct permissions

Open the property designer
- Click Defaults on the main toolbar
- Click User Defaults on the dropdown menu
- In Customer Reports, click Designer
- The CFPwinMan Property Designer List displays. The layout is divided into three sections
- PageHeader and PageFooter
- In these sections, you can add headers and footers with the company name, contact details, date, and page number
- Detail
- This section allows you to add descriptions, prices, property address
- You can adjust the size of each section by hovering your cursor over the top of the grey bars between the section, until it changes to a double ended arrow
- Click and hold to drag that section to its new location before releasing the mouse button
- PageHeader and PageFooter
Defining page margins
- By default, a new layout has no page margins set
- If the printer doesn't print your layout right to the edge of the paper, any fields placed along the top, bottom or sides of the layout may not be printed correctly. In this case, enter a margin in millimetres for the top, bottom, left and right edges
Inserting fields into the layout
There are five fields where merge codes can be inserted into the layout.
- Double click a code in one of the fields to insert it in the grid
- Report Fields and Special Fields
- These will be inserted into the Detail section
- Page Header/Footer fields
- These will be inserted into either the PageHeader or PageFooter section, depending on whether the Header or Footer is selected under Section
- Click Insert Marketing Image - To insert a field to include a property marketing image, an image can only be inserted once in the layout
Moving and re-sizing the fields
If the inserted fields need to be resized and positioned, they can be dragged using your mouse.
Note
To select a number of fields in the layout at once, press and hold Shift on your keyboard, then click the fields to be added to the selection before releasing Shift
- Click on the required field in the layout to highlight it
- Square blocks appear at the corners and in the middle of each side of the field's frame
- To move a field
- Click within the field frame, then hover the cursor until it changes to a hand symbol
- Click, hold and drag the frame to a new position
- If more than one field is selected, they are moved as a group
- To resize a field
- Hover your cursor over one of the fields until it changes to a double arrow
- The blocks in the middle of the vertical sides of the field change the width of the frame
- Those in the middle of the horizontal sides change the depth of the frame
- Those in the corners change both width and depth
- Click, hold and drag the frame to its new size
- If more than one field is selected, the same size change is applied to each
- To move a field
Toolbar functions
On the toolbar are a list of functions for the positioning and resizing, setting the layout, font type and colour of the text, to appear on the Property List when it is merged.
Note
Many of the toolbar functions can be accessed by a right click, then selecting from the dropdown menu
- Click the Preview tab on the toolbar
- An example layout of the Property List appears. The merged properties are those currently selected via Miscellaneous, Property Lists. If no details merge, it is because no properties have been selected

- Click the Designer tab to return to the designer view
Saving, editing and producing your list
Once you are satisfied with the layout of your Custom Property List layout, the file needs to be saved.
- Save the finished property list in your C:\Winman32\Data\Custom Property Lists
- Edit your custom property list by returning to User Defaults, Designer and click Open on the toolbar
- To generate the Custom Property List, click Miscellaneous, Property List

If your saved file isn't stored in the CFP data path C:\Winman32\Data\Custom Property Lists, the custom report will not be available to select in Property Lists
