If you have created a Tenancy and want to add an additional Tenant, the steps below show you how to do this without vacating the original Tenancy.

If the Tenancy which your new Tenant needs to be added to, is already set up as a Joint Tenancy, there will already be a Head Tenant. In this case, ignore the steps in Allocating a Head Tenant
Allocating a Head Tenant
First, you need to change the existing Tenant in the Tenancy to a Head Tenant.
- Double click Tenancies on the side menu
- Search for the relevant Tenancy using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
- Alternatively, find the Tenancy using Additional Options from the dropdown menu, or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
- Select the Tenancy to which you want to make changes
- Click the Tenant name to change to Head Tenant Status
- Their Tenant Information record will appear
- In Status, change from their current status to Joint from the dropdown menu
- If you are prompted to Locate a Head Tenant, click OK and ignore at this stage
- The Head Tenant box will automatically tick, if it doesn't, tick it manually
- Click the disk icon, Save this record, on the toolbar
- Click Yes to change the Applicants status
- Click on Associated Tenancy on the right, to return to the Tenancy Information record
Add the new tenant
The new tenant will need to be added as an Applicant before they can be allocated to a Tenancy.

- Double click Applicants on the side menu
- Search for the relevant Applicant using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
- Alternatively, find the Applicant using Additional Options from the dropdown menu, or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
- Select the Applicant
- The Applicant Information will display
- In Status, change from the current status to Joint from the dropdown menu
- Click OK at the message Please locate the Head Tenant for this Joint Tenancy
- Click Locate
- Search the Head Tenant using Search Text by Name
- Click Yes at the message Do you want to automatically update the number of occupants
- Click Yes to save
- Click on Associated Tenancy on the right, to return to the Tenancy Information record
Repeat these steps to add more tenants.
Update the Tenancy Information with the new Tenant
You will now see all Tenants in the Tenancy Information record.
- After returning to the Tenancy Information record at step 7 above, on the Tenancy Information record:
- Edit the Name, Salutation and contact details
- Edit the Tenants names in the Build Name field
- Click the disk icon, Save this record, on the toolbar
