The steps below show you how to refund part of a deposit and hold some back for future expenses.

If you need to retain some deposit, e.g. for a late invoice, you can reduce the Balance to Refund figure, retaining a balance of money which can later be allocated to another invoice or refunded to the Tenant if required.

  1. Double click Tenancies from the side menu
  2. Search for the relevant Tenancy using Search Text by Name, Code or Status
    1. Alternatively, find the Tenancy using Additional Options from the dropdown menu
    2. Or select a Branch if multi branch is set up on your CFPwinMan
  3. Select the Tenancy
  4. Click Deposit Refunds
    1. Balance to Refund - Change the amount to the sum which you are going to refund your Tenant, this will leave a balance of the amount retained
    2. Include History - Located underneath Balance to Refund, this will include the full history of deposit transactions in the Refund Note
    3. Click Preview - The Refund Note will show the retained amount
    4. Send Options - Click the preferred option to send the Refund Note or untick to not send
    5. Click Update
