How do I add a new status?

Status types are available to select on every Landlord, Property, Applicant, Tenancy, Tenant, Guarantor and Contractor Information record.

They enable you to select a group of contacts, filtered by their status, to either produce a report or generate a bulk letter or email to a status type.

This can be useful if you need to send a letter to all your Managed Landlords. You can filter your Properties by Managed and send a letter or email to all Landlords and Tenancies.

Adding a new status

1. Click Defaults on the main toolbar
2. Click User Defaults from the dropdown menu
3. In the Standard tab, click Status/Type to display Status Definitions
4. Select the record type from the right side menu i.e. Landlord, Property, Tenancy, Tenant etc
5. Add the new Status in the blank boxes at the bottom of the Status Definitions window
   1. Order number - Where in the dropdown list you want the Status to appear
   2. Status - As the name will appear on the record screens
   3. Status Description - A description of your status
   4. Tick box - Determines whether the status will appear in a record search
      1. Tick Listings for it to appear in the Organiser and when you search for records
      2. Leave Listings unticked if the status is for Archived records, then it wont appear in a search unless you select No in Search Listable Records
6. Click Add to add it to the grid above
7. Click Close for the new status to appear in the dropdown menu of the corresponding Information record

The On Hold Status allows you to add a warning banner on records.
