The steps below show how to attach a letter template to a tab and a button on a corresponding Information page.
The quick letter button retrieves a letter, or series of letters, then merges the corresponding information to the template, which can be edited before sending by email, print or via DocuSign (if activated) to the selected recipients.

Quick letter buttons
The quick letter buttons are set up in User Defaults, which can only be accessed by those who have the correct permissions.
- Click Defaults on the main toolbar
- Click User Defaults from the dropdown menu
- Click the Path + WP Options tab
- Automated Letter Printing will display the corresponding Information pages for each
- Landlord
- Property
- Tenancy
- Tenancy
- Contractor
- Guarantor
- Click on the corresponding button to add your letter template to a quick letter button, in this example, Tenancy
Add a new tab
In this example, Tenancy was selected. Therefore, the Tenancy Auto Letters/Buttons and Tabs will display.
- To add a new tab, click in to the Tab Name area. When the background is yellow, the field can be edited using the icons on the toolbar
- Click the White Page icon
- Alternatively, right click on the yellow area of the Tab Name and select Add
- Type the name of the new tab in to the blank yellow field
- Click Enter, this will add the new tab to your list
Add a new button
In this example, Tenancy was selected. Therefore, the Tenancy Auto Letters/Buttons and Tabs will display.
- Click on the name of the tab which you want the button to be linked to. When selected, it will be highlighted blue
- Click in to the Button Name area. When the background is yellow, the field can be edited using the icons on the toolbar
- Click the White Page icon
- Alternatively, right click on the yellow area of the Button Name and select Add
- Type the name of the new button in to the blank yellow field
- Click Enter, this will add the new button to your list
Add a letter template to a button
- Select the corresponding tab and button which to add your letter template to
- The Events for Button will display a blank grid for you to add your letter template(s)
- Event - Type in a short name describing your letter
- FUP - Leave as zero, unless after producing your letter you want a Follow Up reminder on your To Do List. If you do, then add the number of days which you want the reminder to appear
- Document - Click in the space, then use the dropdown arrow to select your letter template. Click Open
- Copies - How many copies of the letter you want to produce each time the letter is created
- Print - How many print copies of the letter you want to produce each time the letter is created
- No Header - Letters can be set up with a header and footer or printed on your pre printed stationery. Click from the dropdown menu and select accordingly
- Repeat these steps on the following blank lines in the grid to add more letter templates to the same button
- Click X in the corner of the window to close

If you go to the corresponding Information screen, in this example Tenancy, and click the Letters tab, you will see the new tab and button.
